Publication Ethics
Mustanir: Journal of Islamic Studies is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against any publication malpractice. This statement follows the guidelines and best practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Duties of Authors:
Authors must ensure that their work is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable. Authors should present accurate data and objective discussion, and they must be willing to provide corrections or retractions when necessary. All co-authors must have significantly contributed to the research.
Duties of Editors:
Editors are responsible for deciding which articles should be published based on the journal’s policies and academic merit. Editors must evaluate manuscripts fairly without discrimination and maintain confidentiality. They must not use unpublished materials for their own research without the author’s consent.
Duties of Reviewers:
Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and should provide objective, constructive, and timely reviews. Reviewers must maintain confidentiality of the manuscripts and should not review papers in which they have conflicts of interest.
Ethical Oversight:
The journal ensures that all research involving human participants or sensitive data complies with ethical standards. Any ethical concerns will be addressed promptly and transparently.
Plagiarism and Misconduct:
All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection tools. Submissions with a high level of similarity or evidence of misconduct will be rejected. The journal will take appropriate actions, including retraction, in cases of proven ethical violations.
